About The Yeshiva

Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael was established in 1999 with the goal of bringing Israelis in America closer to Hashem Itbarach by guiding them through the process of becoming Bnei Torah. The Yeshiva focuses on bringing guys without any knowledge in yiddishkeit to the point where they are well established in their Yirat Shamaim and Avodat Hashem and are able to learn and properly understand Gemara on their own. The Bachurim also become knowledgeable in all the basic Halachot with an emphasis on HIlchot Shabbat, as well as Parashiot Hashavua, midrashim, and sifrei mussar. The Yeshiva’s main goal is to free bochurim of the worry for their basic needs by providing them with comfortable dormitory, three nutritious meals a day and much more, so that they can devote their time to learning and growing closer to Hashem.
